Brooklyn Landmark Elementary is a brand new school, which opened their doors to PreK - second graders in the fall of 2013. We are thrilled to help Principal Davson and her team “develop citizens who will be decision makers in tomorrow’s society and inspire greatness in others.”

Programs and Experiences

Early Childhood Music: Music fundamentals, plus skill-based vocal and instrumental instruction provided by Third Street Music School Settlement for all students in PreK through second grade

Upper Elementary Music: A music program by Third Street Music School Settlement for all students in third through fifth grades that teaches note placement, rhythm, time signatures and other key skills

Story Pirates: Creative writing for all kindergarten through third grade students

Bubble EATS: Nutrition education and programming for students, teachers, and parents

Bubble GROW: Students from PreK to fifth grade learn the science behind how food grows by participating in indoor and outdoor gardening activities

Chess: Teaching second and third grade students the basics of this powerful game

Urban Golf: Golf lessons for students that integrate physical, social, cultural and academic concepts

Leadership Support

School Manager: CFK staff member working on the ground at the school to maintain and develop the relationship with the leadership team, parents, community members, program partners and volunteers

Build a Book Day: The school's youngest readers and their parents make their very own, personalized ABC books

Guest Reader Fridays: Volunteers read aloud to students from all grades

Parent University and Workshops: Held throughout the year to support parent engagement and education

Career Day: Introduces students to new educational and professional experiences so they can chart a path to their futures

Family Field Day and Festival Days: Fun games, dancing, and sports help kickstart healthy habits for our students and their families

Family Fun Nights: Organized around a theme, these evenings bring parents and children together to learn and have fun
