P.S. 142

Lower East Side

Principal Daphna Gutman left a job in finance for the education sector 15 years ago. She most recently served as a teacher at a high-performing, high-poverty school - where she expanded her knowledge of effective teaching strategies, as well as learned how to foster a positive, high-achieving school culture that she later brought to P.S. 142. The team at P.S. 142 is committed to collaborating with parents and community-based organizations to design customized instruction for each child’s unique strength and needs. Change for Kids is delighted to help P.S. 142 achieve their instructional goals.
