Family Volunteering

Our family volunteer program allows your family to come together to volunteer. Whether it is creating care packages, making masks, or painting murals, your family can make a direct impact. Not only will kids in need benefit from your volunteering efforts, but modeling charitable behavior can have an untold impact on your youngest family members, too. Talk about a win-win!


Family Volunteering FAQ

  • All our volunteers are screened by CFK prior to placement. After successful screening, volunteers are matched with an open volunteer opportunity. Your family’s point person will be screened only--not every family member.
  • Fill out our Volunteer Interest Form here . Someone will be in touch to schedule a screening. All volunteers must sign CFK’s Volunteer Waiver before starting.
  • All volunteers will be given an electronic copy of CFK’s Volunteer Manual, which will serve as your guide for any general questions.
  • Be dependable, recognizing the commitment and responsibility to volunteer assignments. Be on time for your volunteer shift. We ask that all family members, including younger ones, be respectful of the communities we serve.
  • Please abstain from the use of photo, audio or video recording, unless authorized by CFK staff.
  • Contact CFK immediately, and at least 24 hours in advance, if you must cancel a scheduled shift. If one of your family members needs to cancel, but the rest of you can still participate, please let CFK know immediately.
  • All family volunteers must stay through your entire shift unless discussed before the event.
  • Depending on the engagement activity, some family volunteering events require a suggested investment to cover staff management and facilitation; procurement and distribution of materials; and shipping costs when applicable.
  • Let us know, and, within reason, we are able to accomodate!
  • Since our events are completely customizable, your family event can be as small or as large as you need it to be! Whether it is a quiet weekend at home with just your kids or a family reunion, we want to make it happen!
