Only three Program Sponsor spots remain. Lead School Partner
RESERVED 2012-2013 School Year
Labaton Sucharow
Funds a year of comprehensive programming and classroom support to P.S.
73's nearly 900 students. The Lead School Partner provides
visual arts, music, creative writing, cultural field trips, school
beautification projects, classroom supplies, and
more; helping us meet our goal of fundamentally transforming P.S. 73.

Program Sponsor: Bronx Museum Arts Residency
RESERVED 2012-2013 School Year
Variety the Children's Charity
Funds a semester of visual arts instruction to over 400 children. For
eight weeks, students visit the Bronx Museum to discuss, interpret, and
create their own art. This residency teaches students to uniquely
express themselves and introduces them to an accessible and fun
community resource.

Program Sponsor: Literacy Tutoring
AVAILABLE
Funds a year of literacy tutoring and enrichment for 1st -- 5th grade
students. Volunteers and mentors provide much needed specialized
attention for kids who need to build their vocabulary and become
confident readers; while also guiding honors students on weekly projects
including a school newspaper and book of original poetry.

Program Sponsor: Intermediate Music, Violin
RESERVED 2012-2013 School Year
New York City Department of Cultural Affairs
Funds a year of comprehensive violin instruction for 15 students (100+
hours per student). As the only in-school music program, students
receive highly individualized instruction 2-3 times a week. Students are
provided with their own violines to practive with at home; developing,
musicality, responsibility and self confidence.

Program Sponsor: Beginner Music, Choir
AVAILABLE
Funds a year of chorus for pre-K -- 1st grade students. Learning to sing is one of the most rewarding forms of self-expression that children can experience. Not only is it an excellent opportunity to develop creativity, participating in choir improves skills such as good memory, good practice and homework habits, and high levels of self-esteem.

Program Sponsor: Story Pirates
RESERVED 2012-2013 School Year
Knovel
Provides creative writing lessons with the Story Pirates for more than
250 students. Kids write stories which then are acted out. Integrating
the excitement of theater into standards-based curriculum, the Story
Pirates perform world-premier musicals of the students' creative
writing -- encouraging them to embrace their imagination.

Team CFK Runners: Christopher Forbes & Kenneth Davidoff
Provides a year of in-school fitness and nutrition education to over 250
students. The program empowers children and their families to make
sound decisions on healthy eating and proper physical activity. Each
year, the program culminates in a Family Fun Field Day at the school.
