Calling All Party Planners
Whether it's poker night with the boys or a blowout birthday bash, your party planning skills can benefit some of the city's neediest elementary schools. The sky's the limit when it comes to planning your event, but if you're searching for ideas, here are a couple hosted by our fabulous community over the last few years: benefit bar crawl, all-night poker tournament, birthday party with musical headliners, and afternoon cocktails. Listen to the funky stylings of Park Slope musician and Unusual Creatures creator Michael Hearst at the home of Steph and Geordie Thompson. Support education non-profit Change for Kids and the appearance of Michael and his band at two great Bed-Stuy elementary schools, PS 81 and PS 243.
