Support Change for Kids

Change For Kids (CFK) is an organization that supports underprivileged elementary schools in the New York City area. CFK is a one-school-at-a-time model that strives to make a real impact on elementary schools that do not have the funds to provide important learning opportunities that most schools have.

On April 20th, I hope you will join us to take a listen to the funky stylings of Park Slope musician and "Unusual Creatures" creator Michael Hearst at our home. Funds raised will support CFK as well as sponsor the appearance of Michael and his band at two Bed-Stuy elementary schools, P.S. 81 and P.S. 243. Both schools are located in an extremely low income area of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn with the majority of students residing in surrounding housing projects or homeless shelters.

My husband and I are committed to serving others and creating opportunities that will help children in our community become successful. As residents of Brooklyn, we believe that we ought to be leaders in the movement, and CFK offers opportunities for children to broaden their perspective through the arts, music, literacy and nutrition programs. We hope that you will join us in being a part of this change. Purchase one ticket for $30 ($40 at the door) or two for $50! We will also have books and CD's available to dedicate to a P.S. 81 or P.S. 243 child. Eat, listen, sing, laugh, and enjoy! Can't attend, consider a donation.
