Bronx Museum Arts Residency: Children discuss local artists and create their own masterpieces at this cultural gem, 4 blocks from the school.
Beginner Music: Through song and other music making, students develop artistic skills and their own creative voice.
Intermediate Music: Students build performance skills, a love of music, self-confidence and responsibility through our highly individualized violin classes.
Literacy
One-on-One Tutoring: Dedicated volunteers help students build their vocabulary and become confident readers.
Fordham Tutoring: College students provide peer tutoring and mentorship to kids as they collaboratively produce a literary magazine.
Creative Writing with the Story Pirates: Through the zany world of improv theatre, kids write stories and we act them out, integrating core literacy curriculum and creative writing.
Healthy Living
Fitness and Nutrition with Fan4Kids: Engaging fitness and nutrition classes emposer kids to make healthy decisions.
Classroom Support
Supplies and Donations: School Change Teams fill teacher "wish lists," complete book drives and provide technology.
School Beautification Days: Volunteers create hand-painted murals, blooming gardens and revitalized libraries to create inspiriting learning environments for our kids.
