Fordham Volunteer Program
Enriching A South Bronx Community
Change for Kids has teamed up with the Francis and Ann Curran Center for American Catholic Studies at Fordham University to create a unique literacy and technology enrichment program for kids at a local Bronx elementary school.
Selected Fordham volunteers will partner with 4th and 5th graders at P.S. 73 in the South Bronx to work on semester-long projects designed to encourage community service and inspire academic excellence. Throughout the semester, students will use P.S. 73's new mobile-technology centers to explore ways they can improve their local community and be role-models to younger students.
Program Goals:
• Expose P.S. 73 Students to New Technology and Media
• Execute Comprehensive Projects that Combine Science, Math and Literacy
• Create an Awareness of Community
