P.S. 73 (Bronx)
While the school may be just three blocks north of Yankee Stadium, the challenges P.S. 73’s students face are no day in the ballpark. P.S. 73 is located in District 9 in the Bronx; one of New York City’s highest poverty rate school districts. The school regularly confronts increasing enrollment and decreasing budgets.
Determined to make a difference, Change for Kids donors began contributing to P.S. 73 in February 1999. For over a decade, we’ve been providing school supplies and vital music instruction. In combination with our recently added arts and literacy partnerships, we've been able to provide P.S. 73 with an array of quality educational programs that support their mission: “to become the highest achieving elementary school in New York City, by providing kids with a safe, secure, positive environment in which to learn.”
Current CFK Programs:

- Museum Collaboration Program (Grade 4)
- Violin Program (All Grades)
- Pearson ABC Book Program (Pre-K)
